Joseph C. Randall
Bio
With these selected works from his exhibition,
"The Transformation," artist Joseph C. Randall
takes us with him on a journey of discovery as
he creates powerful images that captivate with
rich, vibrant and sultry colors; a range of
emotions; and human connections. The series is
an exciting exploration of beginnings, endings
and starting all over again. Each work of art
tells a compelling story…whether it’s a
soul-revealing portrait, a sun-drenched island,
or a people-filled urban street scene, the
result is art that is rich and authentic!
Born and raised in New York , Joseph began his
advertising career at McCaffrey & McCall,
New York; by night he attended The School of
Visual Arts. During the years, Joseph
distinguished himself with numerous
accomplishments and awards, including The Clio
Awards, Art Directors Club, art Direction Magazine
Award , CEBA Awards,The One Show and The U.S.
Television Commercials Festival Awards. Besides
McCaffrey & McCall, he worked for some of the
country’s largest ad agencies including Grey,
New York; Young & Rubicam, New York & Chicago;
Leo Burnett, Chicago and Burrell Communications,
Chicago.
In august of 2008, Joseph, a self-taught artist,
decided to fulfill a promise he made years ago
to friends to create artwork for their living room.
Though he had not created any art since coming to
Chicago, he felt ready for the challenge. By october
of that year, he had completed five pieces of art…
the transformation had begun!
Joseph’s works represent an effort to uncover and
reveal passionate truths about himself. His love
for visual storytelling is exposed in many of his
30 works in this exhibition, as well as his desire
to capture a three-dimensional emotional connection
with the viewer.
